Simon Carter got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a fresh new logo for a data technology company
Check out Simon Carter's Logo design contest…
Module Solutions is a data technology company providing data capture systems, platforms, apps and data services to business customers across several market sectors. We help our customers collect business data and move it quickly, securely and efficiently from point A to point B. Additionally, we provide a range of supporting products and services that are complementary to the core data collection and transport platforms. Our technology systems are typically deployed to portable devices such as smartphones, PDAs, and tablet computers which are used by field based workers, sales teams, brand ambassadors, and event staff to collect relevant business data. Once collected, data is securely transported to one of our data centres for processing and/or onward delivery to our customer’s own data systems. We currently operate a number of different product solutions and our medium-term goal is to reconnect these under a single brand identity. To that extent we want to use “Module” as the common extendable identity to which we can add products and services, or reflect the whole business, through the addition of an additional word such as “Solutions”, “Data-Capture”, or “Media-Services”.
Logo types to explore
We want the new logo to feature as the core identity to create cohesion and unity for our business and be extendable to reflect the various products and services we offer now and in the future. We would ideally like a strong, simple, clear, modern, fresh, flat form. No complex shapes, gradients, highlights, 3D, etc. It needs to work as well in a monochrome format as it does in colour. It needs to be extendable so we can add an additional word to the form to support various products and services i.e. Module Solutions, Module Data-Capture, Module Media-Services It will ideally be based on a simple clever idea around the theme of one or more modules and/or data, connection, links, communication, transporting, etc. It needs to work as a mobile app icon so fiddly detail is best avoided. Preferred colour palette is orange and grey, but open minded to alternatives.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at $299.

And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
