UPDATE: We are liking the idea that many of you are having of a paper plane. We'd like to see more designs along this theme. We are thinking MULTIPLE PAPER PLANES to the left and then Notes of Nomads next to it. We'd like to be able to use the paper planes themselves as our logo when the title doesn't fit. We'd like to explore designs in the turquoise, blue and purple color palettes (not all colors have to be used). Thanks in advance.
UPDATE: Thank you once again for all the submissions so far. We'd just like to refine the brief further to give you are better idea of what we are after. We'd prefer no rising suns or logos that incorporate a lot of red. We are hoping to move in a completely new direction. Also, we are wanting the logo to have a white background and the logo itself colored. No black and white designs please. Thank you so much!
UPDATE: Thank you for all of the submissions so far. We'd just like to make a couple of notes. Firstly, regarding color. We're very happy to receive color suggestions but we would like some color over black and white. Also, as we are a personal brand, we'd like our design to be more on the fun and modern side than traditional and corporate looking. Thank you so much and looking forward to seeing your ideas!
Notes of Nomads is a personal travel blog that encourages meaningful connections with people and places around the world. We don’t believe in set paths, despite societal expectations. We believe in challenging ourselves and stepping outside the traditional bounds of success by living life on our terms.
This website is not destination specific but since we are based in Japan, we have a large amount of resources on Japan travel. We have been considering a logo that perhaps incorporates a Japanese element that shows the Japanese influence on our site but that also doesn’t make the site seem exclusively about Japan. This Japanese element, however, is not a prerequisite; and we are very open to designs without it.
As for audience, we appeal to anyone who is interested in travel, often those who want to but don't know where to start or feel apprehensive about it. We help point them in the right direction, and give them our best tips and advice, as well as access to a community of like-minded people. While we don't specifically target a certain age demographic, our largest audience is between 25-40.
