I had the pleasure of working with aditto.dsgn to create my new logo. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The design options included what I thought I wanted, plus an even better concept that truly got to the heart of what we were trying to create. It was absolutely perfect. I wholeheartedly give my designer five stars. Thank you!
How Providence Farm started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
PROVIDENCE Organic Farm & CSA, Central Lake, MI
What’s your company slogan?
NOT SURE, We were est. 2006 if that should be on there, here's one idea: "Grown from the heart with a passion for living soil & thriving plants, animals and local community." OR "Intelligent, Creative & Respectful Agriculture = Unbelievably Good Food!" You may simplify is you wish.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are certified organic farmers growing vegetables and meat on a small family farm in northern Michigan. (20ish acres produce, 60ish acres animal pasture) About 85% of our business is selling our home-grown certified organic vegetables (around 70 varieties) to four area farm markets, 160+ families in a weekly subscription for up to 22 weeks, two organic food coop/grocery stores and restaurants for 10 months of the year. Our target audience seems to be people who are between the ages of 30 and 70. Usually couples with and with out children. Summer tourists really increase sales from June - August. We also have certified organic pasture where we have a small herd of 20 pastured pigs: Yorkshire, Durock, Hampshire. 12 Pastured Beef: Belted Galloways. 7 Pastured Lamb: Katahdin. From an aerial perspective, we live in a stunning place geographically: On the north end of Torch Lake, about 1.5 miles from Lake Michigan. I sometimes wonder if that view/ illustrated map of region should be incorporated into our logo? If you want to look it up on google maps: 5691 N M-88, Central Lake, MI 49622. Ryan and I like vintage feel logos. Whatever we end up with, we will burn it into our old farm wood for a sign at our farm. (Also, I need to make 1 foot x 8 foot cloth/burlap banners to put on the top of our market tents, so whatever we end up with, I will somehow have to incorporate it into that.) We like texture versus a "flat" logo. We are known for our carrots, but don't want to copy Rushton Farm's logo.
