I was hoping to utilise the our initials of the business ("dp") to incorporate into the logo. We do not necessarily need a symbol to identify ourselves but the "dp" could form the basis of the logo.
I considered incorporating a green pharmacy cross into the logo, but obviously this is copywritten and I think a different type of cross may not have the same effect of linking to a pharmacy, however I am welcome to ideas.
I want the logo to last for many years and not something that will be trendy for a year or two, so I think important factors to consider for ourselves are colours, typeface, layout, but if you feel there are other things to consider then I am happy for those to be shown to me.
I have chosen greens, blues and light neutrals for the three colours that I had to pick, the green and blues are associated with pharmacies in the UK, however I know other colours such as reds are more eye catching - so please design using the colours I have suggested but I am open to the idea of using more eye-catching colours too.
Also something in solid colours will probably work better than gradient fill colours as it will work in more applications (websites, shop signs, posters, flyers, small price labels etc) and in more colour variations too.
The typeface of the logo should be something that is more classical than just trendy as I want it to last many years - but I do not want it to be something that is too easy to be copied, but again I am open to ideas.
The layout of the logo should have the symbol (if there is one) to either side or above/below of the words "Doshi Pharmacy," than in the middle of the two words as I think this will allow more flexibility of using the logo in more applications.
My current logo (tablet) and some sketches I have done of what I think our new logo could look like but again these are just my ideas and I look forward to receiving your ideas from reading my brief above.
