How Daryl8902 started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
What’s your company slogan?
New Leaders New Vision, Putting Northampton First
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
This is for the campaign committee for two candidates (Larry Weinstein and Barry Moore) in a municipal race for seats as Supervisors. We want to convey our messages to the residents of Northampton Township with a consistent look and feel....and identifiable "brand."
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We hope to present a clear and consistent design language to the voters of the municipality in all campaign communications (print, signage, web, social media).
This design message should support and convey the goals of the candidates: nonpartisan cooperation with the rest of the electorate and residents for the good of the community. Cooperation and new vision are key points to convey.
This message doesn't have to be blatant in the logo as there will almost always be messaging to go with it. Subtlety can go a long way. But also keep in mind the various places this will be seen and the attention span of the target audience. We hope to have something interesting enough to make people take a second look the first time they see it and identifiable enough that they will create an association with it for the future.
Note that I haven't mentioned party here. Sure they have an affiliation but that's not nearly as important as their message. The lasting impression for these candidates shouldn't be "they're the <insert party here>", it should be "they're the smart guys with the good ideas."
