caseycallais got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a beautiful, intelligent logo for a young, savvy realty inspection company

Hi there, thanks for browsing this logo submission. I am starting my own home inspection company in Austin and want a logo that stands out from the crowd. Most of the crowd fits into one of three categories: 1. Texas related (Alamo inspections, Texinspect, Inspect Texas, etc), 2. Self appreciating (WIN inspections, Allstar inspections, Clearchoice inspections, etc), 3. Stupid stuff that doesn't mean anything (Mint inspections, Inspectaroo, etc.) (half of all of these have some sort of house or roof graphic. No houses, buildings or roofs please). 4. There are also the bigger companies that seem to do pretty well here (DBL Check, Greenworks, Square House inspections) These are outliers really because they don't seem to fit into the previous categories and seem to be well designed. Constructiva is my idea for a name which was born from Constructive which came from Constructive Critic...which is literally what a home inspector is. Most of my clients are young, internet and social media savvy families and individuals. Most are under 40. I want to come across not as the old stuffy, grumpy home inspector that smells like pickles and stale cigarettes. You know the image that comes to mind. Instead I want my brand to evoke the idea that this company is up on the latest technology, is very professional but easy to communicate with, clean, conscientious and thorough. I chose Architectural as the industry because I lean more toward the feeling of that than Real Estate as an industry. Thanks again and I hope I've been able to communicate effectively my ideas on where I would like to see this go.
I’m open to ideas on the type of logo that’s best for my brand. I am taking things slow right now but will definitely want more than a logo once I get going toward the end of the year. edit: Please nothing with a house or roof graphic. edit 2: After day 1 of submissions I would really like to see more interaction between the text and any graphic that may be incorporated. Something more integrated between the two instead of graphic on top and text below. edit 3: Again, nothing with a house or roof graphic. Buildings either. I appreciate the thought going into the designs submitted but I feel most designers haven't read the brief.

I had dozens of good designs by other talented designers and one excellent one sent by Setya. We worked with that one and ended up with a design that I am very happy with. I will definitely reach out to her directly for any other graphic design work I will be needing.
Thanks Setya Subekti!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
