We need an iconographic logo as well as a typographic one. The iconographic logo will be used in various places and on branded bags as well as in the glass box on the side of the building (80ft above the sidewalk). The typographic logo will be used on printed material and on building signage.
Thank you for participating in this contest. We have some great submissions so far. We would like to see some iconic logos with an organic feel incorporating a classy fruit, vegetable, animal, knives and forks, etc. So a chilli pepper is out because it is not elegant enough but a single beet root or pomegranate or garlic clove or fork may work. We are looking to follow Sarona Market in Tel Aviv (an artichoke) or Chelsea Market (a cow) in New York, but no animals please. It would be interesting to see if the LM could get incorporated cleverly also, but not necessarily.
There is a sign ordinance in Houston that prevents signs above 40 feet high so what we put in the glass box needs to be considered "art" and not a "sign" ;-).
