Legend! His first submission was a shocker, but he asked for feedback and kept coming back with better and better options. I have no hesitation recommending him and will be approaching him for the next design gig I have.

How moppity started their logo design journey
Moppity Vineyards is a premium Australian wine producer that comenced operation in 2004. Our vineyard is in the Hilltops region of NSW; a small, little recognised region that is rapidly emerging a source of some of Australia's truly great wines. In 2006 we made a wine that won a major award at the London International Wine Competition in 2008, which has been followed by a string of other awards. In the last 12 months, we've been the subject of increasing trade focus and media praise. The 2010 edition of The Big Red Wine Book stated that Moppity Vineyards is "a rising star of top-end Australian wine". Our range of wines varies in price from $50 to $10.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our wines are made for premium wine consumers. We are targeting the top echelon; educated wine drinkers who aren't afraid to try something new.
We have used an "MV" logo on our wines since our first wines were released in 2005. It can be seen at http://www.moppity.com.au. We're looking to update the logo above to give it a fresher, more contemporary look.
The new logo needs to be simple enough to reproduce in a variety of formats (embossing, screen printing, embroidery etc) so try and stick to a maximum of three colours (plus white) with no 3d/shading etc. It also needs to tie in with our existing labelling; in particular the Reserve wine (again, check the website). It doesn't necessarily need to have both M and V.
Best to avoid stereotypical images of vines, leaves, grapes etc.
Overall look should be:
* premium without pretentiousness;
* contemporary but grounded; and
* classical without "old-school".
Dark grey or black background
No 3d effects or shading
Logo should look good alone without the text
The whole should equal more than the sum of its parts - an abstract design that is more than just two letters put together. Ideally it should say something about who we are and what we stand for.
Final copy in .eps or .ai please.
