CompanyBright.com is a start up in the business
education industry. The site will provide a technology platform and
marketplace for online, on demand courses on a wide range of topics
from accounting to marketing to customer service. Courses created by
professional trainers will be available for businesses to assign
employees, whose progress and completion will be tracked and reported. Businesses will also be able to assign custom courses that they create to document internal processes. The benefits CompanyBright will deliver are more valuable and productive employees who will enhance the profitability of the business. At the same time the cost of training will be significantly reduced and made easier to deliver.

The target audience is small business owners- who are mostly middle aged or older men. It needs to appeal to this audience but also communicate modern, forward looking, technology. Modern, but not trendy. The audience is not 20 year old's, but 20 year olds will be using the site, so it shouldn't seem hopelessly dated to them. Classic good design with a whiff of an edge.
Words to associate with CompanyBright:
The coloring of the website will be something like http://www.gotomeeting.com with perhaps a darker blue and some video and color to make it a bit more lively.
The logo can be suggestive, but not too literal. I'm open to an abstraction of a lightbulb, the sun, a bell, or perhaps other things I have not thought of. No swooshes, globes or other logo cliches of the past 50 years.
