WHY ARE WE ADVERTISING? To promote and sell the photography and video capabilities of Photographer, Director and Videographer Seth Hancock WHO ARE WE TALKING TO? Commercial clients, ad agencies, art directors, art buyers, magazine editors and art producers. Mostly Women, 25-54, college educated, WHAT DO THEY CURRENTLY THINK? Many commercial clients do not know who Seth Hancock is at this point because most of his work has been for magazines and editorial clients. However, based off his work, Seth Hancock is a solid photographer who can capture and photograph for commercial purposes. Specifically regarding the logo design - many commercial clients think the current logo is old, outdated and looks like something that should appear on the cover of a Whitesnake album. WHAT WOULD WE LIKE THEM TO THINK? Seth Hancock is a rock solid, professional photographer who can capture the essence of the people he photographs. He is at his best when he photographs real people in real situations. Seth is humble, funny, playful and professional. Seth is definitely one of the GOOD GUYS in photography. Specifically regarding the logo design - His logo speaks to Seth's strengths in that it's playful yet professional while at the same time it speaks volumes about his personality. The logo is bold in that it reassures people that he knows what he is doing. LOGO DESIGN MUST HAVES - Seth Hancock (name) Design needs to also work for animation purposes (I may animate the logo on my landing page) Design should work for FAVICON too. LOGO DESIGN MUST NOT HAVES - 1. Tripod 2. Cursive writing unless it's truly unique (most cursive writing is for baby, wedding and family photographers). 3. Camera - Aperture is OK but a camera seems cliched. 4. Do not use the word "Photography" in the design. SETH HANCOCK INFORMATION - I am quite funny and have spent time performing with Second City Improvisational Troupe. I am married, don't have/want children but do have two Doberman Pinschers, I live in Los Angeles. Many people say that I could carry on a conversation with anyone because I can speak with all people regardless of their age, socioeconomic status or education level. I love meeting people, am AWFUL at self promotion but love being out photographing people; I make the everyday person look incredibly interesting. If you have any questions at all then please do not hesitate to ask me. I would much rather have you ask me about my personality than to ask me if I like this design or that design. I hope that help.
