CocoaHeads is a group of Mac OS X and iPhone developers. During monthly meetings, members present on their projects and offer tutorials on various programming topics.
More details about it at: http://cocoaheads.org/
There is a CocoaHeads group in every major city of the world.
The existing (and known) world wide logo for CocoaHeads is visible at: http://cocoaheads.org/cocoaheads.png and http://cocoaheads.org/cocoahead_sm2.png
The name of the language developers use to create Mac OS X applications is called Cocoa. That's probably why it's a mug with cocoa inside.
This contest is organized to make a custom version of the logo for the french group.
The people coming to this meetings are developers, so you might think they don't have any artistic taste.
But remember they are using a Mac, so they at least care a bit about good design.
(Participating in this contest is also a nice introduction to a lot of Mac developers. They very often need to hire someone to make their applications look good: logos, icons, user interface...)
This contest is NOT to redo a CocoaHeads logo. What's expected is a variation of the logo for the french group.
The logo needs to be similar to the already existing CocoaHeads logo (same style and elements). People looking at the final logo needs to recognize that it's part of the CocoaHeads group.
However, some elements should show or hint that this is the logo of the french (Paris) group.
You have the same constraints that the existing logo has: mono-color, looks good even at small size...
We will expect the vector format file.
- Add a croissant or a baguette near the mug.
- Add a beret to the mug (based on the stereotype on how french dress)
