Need A Clever And Creative Logo For An Attorney

Our client is an attorney who specializes in Worker's Compensation, Social Security Disability and Personal Injury. Their slogan is "We Work Hard For Our Clients Who Can No Longer Work For Themselves".

We need two colors in our logo. A primary color and a secondary color. Their current primary color is maroon, but we'd rather see other color options from the designers. Their secondary color needs to complement the primary color and we'll let the designers choose what they think looks best. Note that white and black can't be one of their primary or secondary colors.

PLEASE READ THIS DESIGN BRIEF CAREFULLY. We will work closely with the designers who follow our directions to help you improve your designs. Designers who repeatedly ignore our design brief and our feedback will be eliminated from the contest. We're interested in quality over quantity. Please take your time and only submit clever and creative designs. Don't bombard us with a bunch of quickly thrown together entries. We are looking for a clean, flat design consisting of two parts: 1) an icon and 2) lettering with the name of the business: Krebs Law Firm. We want our logo to have a clever and creative icon and we want the lettering to be a clean sans serif font that is easy to read. We want the icon separate from the lettering rather than having the two blended together. We don't want any lines within the text. Either Krebs Law Firm all on one line or Krebs on the top line with Law Firm underneath it. Our logo needs to have two colors. A primary color and a secondary color. When we say we want a clean, flat design, that means we want our icon to be clever and creative, but not have a lot of fine details. Their icon DOES NOT need to include a K or anything to do with the name of the business. We're looking for a clever and creative icon, but not a literal one. With this being an attorney, we are not looking for a generic attorney icon: gavel, scales of justice, etc. A more abstract icon that implies the legal profession might be okay, but we're also interested in any type of clever and creative icon that implies the spirit of their slogan: "We Work Hard For Our Clients Who Can No Longer Work For Themselves". When you submit a design entry, we'd like to see it in these three formats: 1) Full color horizontal version (icon to the left of the lettering) on a white background. 2) Full color vertical version (icon above the lettering) on a white background. 3) One color version white over the primary color background. We DON'T need to see their logo turned into an engraving. Just the three formats listed above. We want this design brief to provide you with enough direction to get an idea of what we want. We're trying to be respectful of your time (and our time) so you don't spend time designing (and we don't spend time reviewing) something we know we don't want. For every design contest we've had, we're always really impressed with the creativity of the designers and the end result has always been a logo that our clients love.
