A clear and memorable/”catchy” logo for our new Department of Genetics
The Department of Genetics, Luebeck, is an interdisciplinary affiliation of independent Research Institutes (Human Genetics, Institute of Neurogenetics, Cardiogenetics, Genome Analytics, to mention a few) within the University of Luebeck.
To represent all independent research institutes, the logo should fulfil the following criteria:
1. All institutes are located in the Hanseatic city of Luebeck in the northern part of Germany. Luebeck’s landmark is the Holsten Gate (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holstentor). Thus, the Holsten Gate should be incorporated in the logo.
2. All institutes do research on a DNA level. Thus, a DNA string should be also incorporated in combination with the Holsten Gate. Here is a logo example of one of the affiliated Research Institutes: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B…DRQS3lyeXc.
This is the logo of an institute, which will be affiliated. It just exemplifies how these two elements (holstengate +DNA string) can be combined. The logo you provide should be not too close to it. Instead it should be unique and creative in its design.
3. For the corporate design, the logo will always be used with either one of the 2 colour combinations (A or B). Please always provide for 1 logo design always both of these 2 colour combinations:
Logo A: (sRGB) 236, 116, 4 & (sRGB) 0, 75, 90
Logo B: (sRGB) 0, 59, 129 & (sRGB) 226, 0, 37
We are looking forward for your designs!
