- information on, and links to, local community resources; and
- a national online support network for people with SCI.
It will Provide valuable information to individuals with SCI to support them in managing their own care and maintaining good health. At the same time, it will help to increase the knowledge of local health and service providers with a goal of improving the care and support they provide.
Objectives:
Empower individuals to learn more about spinal cord injury in order to make informed choices about their health, recovery and well-being;
Enhance overall quality of life and participation in society by facilitating and supporting community building;
To Help inform and facilitate the provision of quality care for individuals with SCI in the community by supporting community-based providers in the delivery of quality care and support.
• People who have experienced a spinal cord injury
• Their family members and friends
• Caregivers, health professionals & researchers
Spinal Cord Connections will be inclusive of people with diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
The logo should be simple & uncluttered, and should be either a wordmark/logotype or a combination of a symbol and text that reads, "Spinal Cord Connections".
The logo should fit in the banner space shown in the attached page mockups where it currently says "site name". Do not include the tagline shown in the sample.
The overall look should be simple, fresh, reassuring and life-affirming. Ideally, the colors would be green or blue, with a white background. See the attached page mockups for examples of the greens / blues currently being used.
Please avoid visual associations with spines or wheelchairs - we'd prefer the logo tap into the emotions/concepts associated with our objectives - Community, Well-being, Living, Knowledge, Empowerment, Quality of Life etc.
