I love to throw a party. It is in my blood and I can't help it. I grew up in the south and my parents threw massive parties in the late 70's and 80's. They were so fun to watch and people would talk about them for months after. I was 15 years old when I threw my first party. My parents were out of town. Naturally it was huge and out of control. I was grounded for 90 days however it was so worth it! During the 3 months I was in the dog house, I thought about how much fun everyone had and how I could've thrown an even better party. From that moment on, I discovered my passion for entertaining.
Before we moved to Colorado, I was fortunate enough to live and work in NYC running events for a large, international law firm. There I learned the art of tireless perfection and how to entertain on the highest corporate level. My job took me all over the world where I was able to experience and appreciate different cultures' way of doing things. Now we live in Denver, CO and I am raising our two young daughters. The urge to throw parties just won't go away. After several years of throwing my own "mini" events, I am starting my own event planning business. Event planners are a dime a dozen however, I am much more fun to work with. My mind never stops and I am always listening to what the client is envisioning.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I am looking to attract mostly corporate events although I enjoy planning social and fundraising events. Most of my marketing efforts will be word of mouth and the internet. I am looking to work with events in the Denver area although I can also plan events from afar - in Colorado, another state or even oversees.
I would like the vibe to be classy and clean but also hip and current. The peacock should be blue - either a single color or various shades of blue. It would be great if the font was easy to read. I will be using this logo on signage, cards and stationery.
