Raising Your Chocolate IQ
Food & Drink
The business encompasses teaching about chocolate - how it's made, where it comes from and how it tastes to adults and children alike. We offer tasting events as well as demos. We also offer hands on workshops to anyone who would like to learn how to work with chocolate. Our target audience is anyone who loves chocolate and wants to develop their palate. We are also targeting people who care about social justice, food issues and sustainability. It's a sophisticated audience that's interested in fine food, travel and global issues.
Logo types to explore
We want the logo to express that we'll be raising awareness about chocolate and how it's grown around the globe. It's not 100 percent necessary but incorporating a globe or a cocoa pod would be okay in the design (but keep it simple). I like the feel that it's global. I like neutral tones and soothing colors. A few things to know: Chocolate is grown around the equator (it's called the chocolate belt). Chocolate comes from a fruit that is a pod called Theobroma Cacao. The pods are beautiful, shaped like a football and come in different colors. Inside the pods are the beans, which are fermented, dried, roasted and then processed with sugar to make our beautiful smooth chocolate that we love. Please don't do the following unless you have an absolutely brilliant concept but one possibility is to somehow combine the "Chocolate" from the company name with the "Chocolate" from the tagline, so that the words aren't repeated. This would have to be done in a way that's clever and elegant. This is not NECESSARY! Or another idea was to put the logo inside a "globe" but that also must be done simply too.
