How Marla.fersten started their logo design journey
Just for Kids Foundation
The “Just for Kids” (JFK) Foundation was founded in 1987 by a small group of concerned parents who saw the need to raise funds to purchase urgently needed, state-of-the-art medical equipment for The Montreal Children’s Hospital in Montreal, Canada. Since then, our organization has grown into a group of approximately two hundred dedicated volunteers who continuously look for new and innovative ways to raise funds for this very important cause.
JFK is comprised of over two hundred dedicated volunteers divided into three chapters based in and around the Montreal area. Each of the chapters organizes a major annual fundraising event. Some examples of late include our “Dancing with the Stars” gala event, and a new event which has been attracting adolescents based on the hit television show “Glee”. In addition, there is an annual golf tournament and ongoing projects such as charitable collection boxes, season’s greeting card campaigns and tribute cards that help heighten our profile and let us concentrate on channeling money directly into medical equipment to where The Montreal Children’s Hospital needs it most.
