Seemed like the only one that was able to give us what we were looking for!! No ones else was even close
- Mc Brand
McBrand listened to what I was looking for and came back with a great design in just a day or so. McBrand was communicative and responsive to the small changes I asked for. I'm very pleased with the design. Highly recommended!

How AlexfT started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Disc Golf Chicago
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We're a social and competitive disc golf club in Chicago. We aspire to be the premier disc golf club in the midwest. We have a shared interest in giving back to the disc golf community and growing the sport. The age and gender of our audience is fairly wide ranging, though we do primarily seem to attract males between the age of 15-50. Most of our audience live in and around Chicago but appreciate the outdoors and a recreational lifestyle.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Community & Non-Profit
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I like the idea of using the Chicago flag colors, but I'm open to designer's suggestions. While the full color logo is really important, ideally I'd like a logo that also looks good in plain black and white.

I like the intimidating imagery and the fact that the text is subtle.
I like the intimidation factor again here. I’m imagining a disc golf basket replacing the gladiator. The sun is in the background, and the city skyline along the line above the text.
I like the classic, humble, and confident feel of this. I’m imagining a disc golf basket in the middle with buildings on each side, and our name on the ribbon
This is so great. Abstract imagery supported by text/typography. The text is by no means a critical element of the design.
The text is the image. If you remove "the firearm report" typography you still have a fully formed logo.
This is so cool to me because it’s so mysterious and confident. If you don’t know what it is, you’re not really cool enough for it anyways.
The text is a major element of the design here but the text forms an image, so it's much more than just a typography.
I'm 100% amateur in all things design so I'm reluctant to giving too much suggestion. That said, a little more about us; we have a ton of pride in our city but we exist because we think it's important to get out of the city and spend time outdoors. Our culture is collaborative, supportive, and based around a recreational sport but at the same time we value healthy competition. Hope that's helpful... Looking forward to your ideas/recommendations!
There’s a few pieces of imagery I’m hoping to see in your designs. Not all need to be incorporated in each design but each design should include at least one or two of the following: chicago skyline, buildings, disc golf basket, frisbee disc, chicago flag, trees, sky, sun.
I'm also hoping to see some designs that DO NOT include "Disc Golf Chicago" text as a main focus. Subtly including the text would be good but I want the main imagery of the logo to be recognizable without text.
