Decor Outdoor Logo Design Creative Brief Brand Name – Decor Outdoor Industry – Patio furniture, umbrellas & shades, heating and outdoor accessories Price Point & Quality – Luxury Style – Contemporary Tag Line – None COMPANY OVERVIEW We launched our online business as Decor Interiors in 2007 and carried a wide variety of product categories and price points. Over the years, we saw that high-end umbrellas and patio furniture were not only our best sellers but also our most profitable items. We made a strategic decision to focus our attention on these categories and have seen strong growth. Now we are rebranding to Decor Outdoor to reflect this change in our product focus from indoor furnishings to outdoor. In addition to changing the brand name and website address, we are migrating to a new e-commerce platform with an app-like front end and an emphasis on mobile display and speed to appeal to Google's search engine. LOGO DESIGN In the past, we incorporated a simple black square with a tilted lowercase letter D with or without the words "DECOR INTERIORS" to the right (typically). We want a new design for the Decor Outdoor logo. MUST-HAVES • Works in both one and two colors (open to 3 if the design is right) • Configurable to display legibly at multiple sizes and portrait and landscape orientations • Unique eye-catching graphic element that can be used in a square icon for mobile phone screens as well as a favicon for web browsers • Minimalist design • Typeface that has a modern elegant feel • Text on one line PREFER TO HAVES • Abstract or negative space graphic element versus an on-the-nose use of product or nature icons • Use of vibrant blue and/or green with black/dark gray that pops off of display screens MUST NOT HAVES • No intricate details or complicated patterns or fills that can be lost at small display sizes (simple limited use of gradient may be okay) • No stock clipart
