Loparka's design was originally a contender in a contest I ran here a couple years ago. I always liked and remembered her design but was talked into awarding the original win to someone else. I regret this for the last few years and finally got in touch with her to make it right, and pay her for her excellent work! It is elegant, well composed, beautiful to look at and just the right touch of classic and modern. Mahalo Nui Loa from Hawaii!
very good design, very good designer!

“Homesteads for Hope” is a nonprofit “Community Farm” established in 2013 for adults with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities. Our mission is to utilize the family to create sustainable lifestyles, environments & futures. Our vision is to develop our existing 55 acre historic family farm located in Spencerport, NY on the Beautiful Erie Canal complete with an Estate House, Multiple Barns and Greenhouse into a one-of-a kind “Homestead” for individuals with disabilities to learn a rural lifestyle and share it with our larger community. This farm will host day farming programs, evening activity programs, summer camps and community events for all. The farm will host many small enterprises that volunteers, school aged youth and special needs can work in such as Farm to Table Café, General Store, Flower Shop, Tackle Shop and Paddling Center. The future for this organization is to create a 30 acre “cohousing” development on the property that provides homes for individuals with disabilities as well as other participating community members and families.
