Pixelina's logo design clearly stood apart from all others in the contest. I received over 60 designs, and only chose Pixelina to work with in the final round. On top of this, Pixelina was super responsive and extremely patient as we worked through numerous small iterations of the design. It is clear that Pixelina cares, which makes it even more pleasurable to work together. Just awesome.

we are a start-up biotechnology company that will be focused on engineering genetic (that is DNA) modifications to human immune cells. These immune cells, when administered into a patient, will find and attack specific cancer cells and kill them. Target audience will be physicians, patients, investors, etc.

The reason for Catamaran in the name has to do with the racing catamaran boats. think america's cup and oracle racing boat. These are highly engineered ships (like our engineering of immune cells) and this engineering helped catamaran vessels leapfrog the ships that came before it. Also, a catamaran invokes imagery of speed and not necessarily riding in the water like traditional ships. meaning that we will be moving quickly, out-pacing, and out-maneuvering other competitors. we would want this conveyance of speed to come through in the logo. I attached a generic abstract image of a catamaran and also of the oracle racing boat. I'm not necessarily tied to this image. I also attached an image of cells. Perhaps the image of an individual cell (with a nucleus) could be incorporated as the sun behind the image of a speeding catamaran cutting through the waves? or perhaps incorporate the cell as the ocean that the catamaran is riding on? I welcome thoughts and ideas. if you incorporated the people riding in the catamaran, see image attached, to me the people would represent bravery. as a company we are being brave to develop the best technology possible to deliver to patients and to fight cancer.
