I am very happy and extremely proud of the logo and business card that ʙᴚѳкэ♦ᴀᴚм created for my company. It represents my company very well and gives the professional look that I desired. ʙᴚѳкэ♦ᴀᴚм took the specifications and design ideas that I submitted and created a design that is exactly what I was looking for. The design process was both exciting and fulfilling and I am extreme grateful for all the hard work ʙᴚѳкэ♦ᴀᴚм put in and for listening to the feed back that I gave during the contest. ʙᴚѳкэ♦ᴀᴚм is a very good designer and I am excited to start using my new logo and business cards.

Who are you known as?
Cantriex Livestock International Inc.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Cantriex Livestock is a livestock marketing company that specializes in exporting. In addition to exporting the company also provides order buying, consulting and other marketing services.
Our business basically buys and sells livestock, specifically cattle. Our primary focus has been targeting export markets but a larger portion of our business has been domestic over the past few years. We are based in central Alberta and our customers are based throughout Canada and the United States as well as overseas.
The customer base of Cantriex Livestock is very diverse. It ranges from ordinary farmers and ranchers all the way to international investors and everything in between.
We buy and sell almost every class of cattle from feeder and slaughter cattle to commercial and registered breeding stock. Our primary focus is on beef cattle but we also have dealings in dairy cattle.

The cattle industry is largely old fashioned and as such the people in the industry are mostly male and generally 45+. The level of education within the industry varies greatly from high school dropouts to MBA's.
The design we want needs to reflect our company and our industry. The winning design will be tradional and elegant while maintaining simplicty without being boring. A western flair can incorporated in the design. We want our look updated but we are not looking for a contemporary design. The script style font currently being used can be used in the new design but is not required. Color selection is at the designers discretion but strong colors are most likely the best suited for our company.
The maple leaf, a cow or cow head and map of the world or globe are all elements that could be incorporated in the design.
The logo will be used on business cards primarily but will also be used on letterhead, envelopes and promotional items at some point in the future.
This marks the 30th year for our company. It is family owned and is operated by a father son combination.
