I added my daughter Cosette's (Coco) photos because at first, when I was going to design the logo myself I was thinking about putting a bee on her nose. But the photos weren't very hi-res and it may be a bit cliche. She puts the C in C's bees though, so I thought you'd want to see who we are naming the business after. There is no obligation at all to use her photo. I also added photos of our first honey processing session, so you can see the crazy man behind the honey process. We have already invested in some high powered equipment, so the homemade centrifuge will be replaced....but it was made with love. Also attached are the jars of honey ...label-less :( but you can get a good idea of how we are packaging them, with a beeswax candle atop the jar.
In terms of design, we are a young couple with a passion for local and organic food our brand is very important to us (as I'm a marketing director by trade) and should communicate a fun, organic, modern and whimsical energy. I truly hope to find something that will grow with our new found passion for our lovely lady bees. Fun Fact: females are the only ones that make honey, males hang around the hive and eat it #truestory.
In regards to size, as you see the jars are small and we'll probably opt for larger jars next year. We have dozens of the 1/2 pound jars and I we are committed to oval labels that are sized at around 2 x 2.75 inches. If you think the slogan will not fit for this size logo, please let me know.
