BuildBotics is a web site where users can show off and download 3D printer, CNC and LASER cutter designs. These are computer controlled machines, thus the "botics" part of the name.

Colors: Colorful but somewhat muted lower contrast colors. The logo could feature a humanoid robot but a machine working on a part inside itself might be better. We are targeting smallish desktop sized machines. Mainly I want it to look professional but cool and fun. Something the DIY community would get as well as professional machinists. I've attached pictures of a CNC Router and a 3D printer, so you can get an idea of what kinds of machines are involved and used by our users. I have also attached a picture of a logo that is sort of ok, but not great. It does give the general ideal of what we are looking for. The colors are really bad, however and we are not really locked into the idea of a humanoid robot.
