NationalParkTrust got their new logo design by running a design contest:
"Buddy Bison" Character Update for Park/Outdoor Organization
Check out NationalParkTrust's Logo design contest…
N/A - no name in the logo - just Buddy Bison
OUR VISION Everyone experiences the endless possibilities of our nation’s parks. WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO National Park Trust is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and our mission is preserving parks today and creating park stewards for tomorrow. Buddy Bison is very pleased to be NPT’s lovable woolly mascot who encourages kids to “explore outdoors, the parks are yours!” Buddy is an avid outdoorsman who loves all parks and public lands. He also loves to work with children of all ages and travels to schools and parks across the country. He is honored to be featured in the National Geographic Kids book, Buddy Bison’s Yellowstone Adventure, written by NPT Advisory Board member, Dr. Ilona Holland. Equally exciting is the fact that the Bison Legacy Act signed by President Obama, has made the bison our first national mammal!
Hi! We are looking to update our woolly mascot Buddy Bison. We would like him to keep his playful personality but mature him just a LITTLE BIT. He is currently used to represent our youth programs AND we use this graphic on infographics, fundraising charts, and have future plans to use on a web-based education platform. We have heard from focus groups that Buddy needs to be a little less cartoony, have better eyes, and be applicable to both an elementary-aged audience and middle school audience (up to 14 years old). The First two images show what we are looking to replace. Just the Buddy please, DO NOT incorporate his name, into a circle, etc. The third image is of Buddy Bison our costumed character for reference. We are NOT updating his look but I am providing for inspiration and background.
