Bring to life a smart new logo for a pet door installation start up!

We're a national Australian business selling dog and cat door installation services. We also sell the pet door products that are installed into glass, timber and wood doors. We've been running the last 4 years with a cheap logo and brand. Check us out here: www.nationalpetdoors.com.au This brief is for a designer to help us kick start a re-branding exercise to modernise our brand, especially through our online presence including our website, social media channels (Facebook/Instagram) and digital content marketing activities. The main shift in focus for our brand is that we want to differentiate from our competitors by promoting an aspirational pet door product and installation services through associating us with creating happy and healthy homes, rather than purely pushes our product and professionalism. e.g. current tag line 'The pet door installation specialist', could be considered 'creating happy pet homes' Our number one seller is dog doors with a skew to glass. Our buyers are a mix of men and women, however women are the primary purchaser. As our product & installation packages range from $200 - $900, we are often targeting higher income earners in inner city suburbs.

We're keen to see if we can bring an element of a door or an arch (representing a door) into the design rather than the focus being purely on a dog or cat. However we're not opposed to dog or cats being weaved into the design. We also like the idea of the logo representing more of a lifestyle or homewares branded logo than a pet industry logo as our new branded imagery will reflect happy homes and lifestyle shots rather than product shots. Ideally i'd prefer sentence case used for the words, not uppercase. I'd also like to a see a more modern font that what we currently use that translates well in digital mediums. Same goes for colours. I'd like to see a homewares/lifestyle brand colour palette that is more neutral and slick, but that has a few colours for us to play with throughout the designs.
