Brighton Energy Corporation
Brighton Energy Corporation is a new uranium exploration and mining company. Although the company is initially focused in West Africa (Niger), its longer term interests and operations could span the globe. The company's goal is to become a producer of uranium...a key fuel powering the future.
Investors: Institutional and retail investors (investment banks, fund managers, etc.), bankers, and individuals that will invest in the company
Analysts: Financial/mining analysts that will analyze the company, its operations and prospects
Government: Government ministers, regulators and officials in West African countries in which Brighton will be doing business.
Partners: Presidents and VPs of Corporate Development with other (uranium) companies that Brighton may partner with, and potentially sell to
Key attributes the logo must convey :
Stability: The company is stable, mature, strong and professional
Conservative: Because of the commodity being explored/mined (uranium), we want to convey the idea that this is a conservatively managed and relatively lower risk company.
Simple/Clean: Not busy or cluttered
Not obvious: No images/imagery of rock hammers, old grizzled prospectors, head frames (mines) in the logo.
Uranium: Given the confusion that "energy" (in Brighton Energy) = oil/gas, there should be something in the logo that conveys "uranium" without saying the word. However, the uranium graphic is often used for uranium mining companies (i.e., http://www.firsturanium.com), so ideally the "uranium" concept should be slightly different, with some sort of twist.
Colors: Simple, easy to reproduce (common) color palette that works consistently in print, web, presentations. Hues of the green/orange colors of Niger flag would be interesting.
International: There can be no images that make it seem/feel "African" -- i.e., no images or outlines of Africa, or African wildlife, African masks, etc.
Future - Extensible: Once the company develops a mine (in a few years perhaps), the logo needs to be able to accomodate the addition of a sub-name for signage related to the mine. For example, it might be Brighton Energy - Red Lake, Brighton Energy - Bongobongo
