WM Design was a dream to work with. They carefully reviewed the design brief and went to work, they were very responsive. Their understanding of our market and their creativity solved every problem our company threw at them. I would highly recommend them.
How Misty625 started their logo design journey
Harvest Chicago Contemporary Dance Festival
This fall will see the premiere of the Harvest Chicago Contemporary Dance Festival, and we need a logo! HCCDF is a weekend of performance to celebrate the works of practicing contemporary dance artists, from Chicago and beyond. Producing companies Nicole Gifford Dance and ology dance want to provide performance opportunities for the many hardworking small modern dance companies and independent artists, who deserve to show their work, but in this economy can't afford to self-produce a full concert. The Chicago dance community is incredibly rich, supportive, and innovative, and we want an event (and logo) that reflects the warmth and bounty of the season and work.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Dance companies and artists, media (press, bloggers, etc.), funders, event ticket buyers- young to middle-aged adult arts audiences.
Thanks for considering our project!
We'd like a great icon and the full name included in the design- it is Harvest Chicago Contemporary Dance Festival.
This logo will be used on: websites- our own (to be developed) plus press and event websites where we advertise; posters; postcards; those little hipster buttons; newspapers; and brochures.
We'd like to have a color version (say, one or two colors plus black and/or white) and a greyscale version. Bold autumn colors would be fun, though we're open!
Dance logos can be tricky- we want the logo to imply movement, but not be too literal with actual dancing human figures. Unless you can find a way to do it that looks really cool.
