Real Estate & Mortgage
What we do: We purchase and operate manufactured home communities (mobile home parks) and apartment complexes. Who our audience is: Property owners and real estate brokers we hope to purchase property from. We would like to find a nice middle ground that is appearing neither like a behemoth faceless corporation, nor an overly-quaint, cutesy firm. Nothing pandering or cartoonish. Something fresh, not stuffy.
Logo types to explore
We'd like something not TOO heavy. We prefer imagery that ISN'T DEFINED BY A BORDER SHAPE (like all the imagery stuck in a circle or a diamond). It is better if the borders of imagery are more organic. BELOW: Are some color palettes and rendering styles that we enjoy. The last 2 images are overhead layouts of random mobile home parks - a lot of these layouts resemble the veins in leaves, or perhaps tree branches. PERHAPS this can be an inspiration, but only if you feel you could make a strong design with it. These last 2 pics are very minor suggestions. I realize that a logo can't communicate everything about a company - but I'll tell you the feeling I'd like someone to feel when seeing the logo: freedom, peace, simple living. Honest but not hokey. Sophisticated but not snobby or elitist. Even if your logo is *mostly* text-based, we would definitely prefer at least a little bit of imagery. Nature imagery, trees, leaves, etc or that of homes/apartments/mobile homes. WHEN IT COMES TO NATURE: LESS RUSTIC, MORE MODERN. NO PINE TREES PLEASE! NOTE: the "four squares = windows in a home" design motif - we would prefer if you use that ONLY if it is part of a more significant piece of imagery. We do not want it used symbolically just to "hint" at a house. If you use it, please use it for a reason and not as the main element of the design. We'd be open to something with VINTAGE influences (from 1910's all the way up to 1970's) as long as it wasn't over the top. We are open to ALL colors which is why I left that undecided - surprise me! ANY color. Blue and green is nice, but we'd like to see a design that doesn't rely entirely on the uber-trendiness of blue and green. PLEASE: A well-rounded color palette that has BOTH WARM AND COOL ELEMENTS. DISLIKE: things that look like the Prudential Insurance logo, or things that look like a micro-brewery beer bottle emblem. Nothing that looks like a logo for a pharmaceutical or a retirement community.
