I love the simple beauty of it, and especially that it shows to my clients that we have a care for design, while my company's work is ultimately to be invisible and to accent the work of the architect, interior designer, and workmanship. It is perfect.
Amazing work, and wonderful designer. Extremely patient and responsive to all needs. Seriously we are THRILLED with our new logo.
asUna did a great job on my logo - it was creative, modern and also told a story about my business. Thank you!
The first round, to choose designers to final round, I think it's too urgent. Most designers wouldn't have really something far different with their original proposals. Which means the first round is almost decide the final logo, and there are only few days for collect ideas from designers.
Regarding the <Blind>, I find it cannot be changed after the contest begin. I think Blind is to avoid other designers copy the idea by customer's rating in 4~5 stars. And it will decrease more ideas that customer can see from others. However, when it's going to final, customer has already some thoughts in mind, there will be some designers can't change their ideas from their original designs. Customer would like to see different details showed by different designer, with the one he almost decide to select. It will be sorry for the others who keep presenting knew design day by day, but customer wouldn't call him/her to stop, cause we still waiting for something might come up and we'll love it.
I prefer <Blind> function could change in anytime by customer themselves.

Bluestem Hotel will be located in a suburban market in Los Angeles. It is an exterior 60-room mid market (not luxury) boutique hotel (rooms around $200 per night). We want to attractive 1) hip and traditional corporate travelers and 2) leisure millennial travelers coming to the area for beach, shopping, breweries. Thus, we want the logo to be semi-professional but fun and thoughtful also (without being too cutesy). We do not want a corporate or flowery literal logo - we want something modern. Bluestem is a type of strong grass common in California that reflects the coastal calm vibe of this new hotel. The hotel has bamboo, wood, greenery and light elements. It's meant to be a sanctuary from the busy suburban city it is in. The city has craft breweries, high end mall, beach and many large corporate headquarters - so it's busy! See below for logo design requests.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Don't want to use red or very strong colors. This is more of a natural feel. Would like to explore a gold or neutral colors like black/white or very light pale blue and black as well. I am open to your creativity and your various color combinations!

words in one line, catchy, creative logo
simple creativity, font
I would like the logo to be fresh, simple, authentic and interesting - nothing complex or hard to put on building signage please. I am looking for a modern classic or modern clean font, not something traditional - nothing cursive or italics. I would like Bluestem Hotel in one line and probably all caps. For the logo, the bluestem grass can be modernly/creatively inserted into a B or b or just be a blade of grass on its own. I also like using the negative space in the logo to create a b in an interesting but simple way. I prefer simple like a blade of grass - I do not want a field of grass or numerous flowers or leaves please. I don't want the logo to be too flowery or too boring/corporate looking. I am open to logo suggestions. We will be using the logo in SIGNAGE AND PAPER so it needs to not be too fine (the grass). It will be used in collateral, business cards, hotel door numbers and key cards, amenities in the room and lobby, so the logo cannot be too complex. The guest room door numbers or other items in the hotel may be wooden to go with our natural concept. The logo & name will also be on the outside of the building of the hotel. Thanks!!!
