My business is in the film industry. I work as a cinematographer.
I am not really after a super fancy logo. Just something very simple.
Almost, just a tidy type-setting.
The main use for the logo / name, is to be made into stickers.
These stickers are to be used to label equipment, and pelican cases.
They need to be able to be made in black on white, and white on black.
They need to be scalable. So that some stickers are small, and some are medium and some are large.
So, primarily, a functional logo that is readily identifiable is important.
Because the case labels will be used by camera assistants looking to seperate out equipment between different suppliers.
Secondary usage for me is to have the logo used on the website: benruffell.com , and finally on a business card. (I am happy with one or two sided).
I need a logo that is confident, and also cool.
I don't want to be old fashioned, but at the same time we are not young, and we have nothing to prove.
We are not chasing fashion. We want a logo that lasts the distance.
Our clients are International TV Production Companies, Advertising Agencies, and Global Brands.
- If there is a standalone logo that works without the name, that would be terrific. But, it's not a deal breaker.
- I don't want images of cameras or film rolls or anything cheesy like that incorporated into the logo. (Because any realistic image would date almost instantly).
