How Michael@Virgohotels started their logo design journey
We are new and exciting hotel booking site, launching in early Q3 2010. Our aim is to be the first choice for owner managers who travel on business or on holiday and want something more than the ordinary hotels that a corporate customer would normally frequent, but because of the way we buy our hotels it means that price is normally significantly cheaper than normal booking agents and search engines.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The owner manager is someone who wants to look after the pennies as it is their money, but when it comes to travel will not put up with second best. Preferring to travel with an element of luxury - or at least 4 star +. You all know them, you wake up every morning and look at them in the mirror!
We want a logo that is classically modern - not too colourful - and possibly uses the "V" and "H" as an emblem. Whilst we are called "virgo hotels" we do not have to include an element of star signs - although some examples may be interesting. It has to be friendly to the eye and clearly read.
