How WCH-New York started their logo design journey
Wesleyan Church of Hamburg
The Wesleyan Church of Hamburg (WCH) is a church for today’s families. It is a place to come and be with people who’ve discovered the joy of Christian life! We believe that church should be fun, exciting, meaningful and relevant to the world we live in. We teach timeless truths from God’s Word that can be applied to your daily life. We are a family-oriented church in the suburbs of Buffalo, New York. We have incredible ministries to children and youth, as well as, to those needed extra support to face additctions, grief, divorce and more. Casual church where relationships with each other are key to helping us grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Thrity-somethings with children who are or have become dis-interested in church.
We do not want heavy religious icons used. WCH has a more contemporary style than traditional. Very family oriented. We are not very ethnically diverse because the make-up of our community is not very diverse. Middle-class white suburban families but very connected to outreach in the City of Buffalo.
Logo will be used as a strong image in branding ourselves within the community. We would like colors indicating life and growth, but more in the earthy colors. We want colors to reflect life, vitality, etc…, colors that bring emotion.
Logo will be used for letterhead, brochures, banners, media, etc… Portions of the logo may need to stand alone, away from the logo as a whole.
We want to stay away from religious icons that associate with other religions or denominations or those indoctrinated into other faiths.
