How Adventuregirl started their logo design journey
My name is Stef Michaels from Adventuregirl.com. I am a travel journalist by trade and a travel personality for the media. Albiet I am "talking travel" for tv and print, what I am about is simply this: Adventure is an extension of your curiosity. I believe you can find life's adventures at the top of the Andes, or simply by taking a risk and changing your lipstick color. I'm girlie for sure, but I also was taught- anything boys can do- girls can do just the same!
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
my market demo is all over the map- hitting the 25-45 demographic is my target audience. Most are active, into fashion, and are more "hip" than not. The demographic is both male and female. So, nothing too girlie- a more generic logo would be best- i.e. no daisies or floral. Also, no "travel" items like planes, cars, boats- remember- it is travel, but it's more like traveltainment and living life's adventures what ever they may be. I wear a kind of Gucci-esque type "AG" charm around my neck- although logo does not need to reflect this.
If you head to the site- you'll see a horrible logo that's ancient. Nothing too feminine- something that appeals to both male/female- I tend to like more clean look than not. NO STOCK IMAGES/GRAPHICS please! ;0
