7ktekR got their new logo & business card by running a design contest:
New trendy cafe looking for hip new logo

Food & Drink
We are a new Australian cafe called Wattle It Be Kelvin Grove (Wattle is an Australian flower). We're a all made-in-house cafe (gourmet sandwiches, house made cakes and muffins and excellent coffee - hopefully!)
Regarding the logo I have included some examples for colour, font and rough idea of what we're looking for. Image 1 = Is just a picture of a wattle flower so that you know what they look like. This is also the colour yellow I would like to use. The background I think I would like it to be is dark navy. Image 2 = Is an idea of how I would like the logo (not specifically the font - see image 4 below for that). The circle will have 'Wattle It Be' in large text in the centre. 'Kelvin Grove' will be in small plain text possibly going along the bottom of the circle. Image 3 = I was hoping we could fit a simple single wattle design above the business name within the circle that could look something like these wattle designs. Image 4 = I like the font in this image saying 'Wattle' and was hoping the font could be similar while still being very easy to read. Whilst THIS IS NOT part of this contest (it will be part of a further one) it needs to be understood that this logo will be part of a bigger sign that will be cut out. Therefore it is necessary that the logo itself is designed so it can be cut out (of say aluminium or acrylic).

It all began with a design brief.

Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
7ktekR collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
VictimArt is a very talented and efficient designer. We provided them with a rough idea of what we wanted (logo and then business card) and VictimArt was able to create something more amazing than we could have ever thought possible.
Turnaround time from when we provided feedback to seeing that feedback incorporated was super quick. We're going to start another project with VictimArt for some signage and cannot wait to see what we get!
A really good first experience on 99designs!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
