harvgoodman got their new logo & business card by running a design contest:
Healthcare Software WordMark (for true designers who can design within the constraints of text!)

Medical & Pharmaceutical
We provide healthcare software for hospitals and doctors that is designed to help them track their patients through all the steps of their health care plan.
We are looking for primarily a wordmark as opposed to a big logo. We like how Vans, Braun, and pandora have memorable text design w/o images. We need to be confidence-inspiring and serious since we deal with health care data. Think about how financial firms portray their seriousness. The image that I uploaded is a picture of our current application. We are using RGB(146,94,124) and RGB(91,126,138), but we are happy to change that if you have a better proposal. (We are not designers.) It's OK to use design elements along with the text as long as they are abstract and subtle. For the limit of what is "subtle" to us for design elements to go with the wordmark, the Chase Bank logo is probably on the border between subtle and not subtle. The shape of the design should be wider than it is tall. That is, you should be able to draw a flatter rectangle around the whole thing, as opposed to requiring a square, circle, or triangle that has height. Capitalization is up to the designer. Optionally, if it can be done well, we would love a subtle/abstract hint of an owl, but it should be very subtle, such as incorporating owl eye shapes somewhere into the lettering or next to it. There should *not* be a clear owl head next to the text. The French word "Hibou" is pronounced like "Eebu," and it means owl. We like the "wisdom" and the "hunter" metaphors as we find data that makes people smarter. But, again, abstract and subtle are key. Another option is that some part of the logo could be used as

Really collaborative. Did a great job being creative while also listening to and incorporating our ideas. I'd definitely work with Selodarma again.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
