It's nice to have the logo simple enough to be able to emboss on a 3D printed part. We'd also like to avoid any cliche profiles of a hummingbird. We'd like ours to stand out and be recognizable.

A tugboat is a smaller boat that helps the bigger boats through rough waters (which is a great metaphor for what our company does). Kelda provide an approachable JavaScript framework that greatly simplifies the configuration of applications that run in the cloud. We are targetting developers - both open source hobbyists and enterprises. We really want to come off as friendly and approachable, not techy, difficult, and complex.
