Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I am a young attorney starting a sports law practice. As a solo practitioner it can be hard to impress on people that you are serious and organized. In a sea of young attorneys, one must dazzle and impress on first impression that you are serious about your craft and that you are to be taken seriously. As increasing amount of attorneys choose both (1) sports law and (2) solo practice, it is paramount to stand out among them. A simple name and phone number business card does not do the trick, nor does a website header of my name. There must be more! As a startup in Oakland, California, I am grounded in roots of blue collar, urban society while at the same time seeking growth and modernization. Similarly, while the law is grounded in its ancient roots, it too must modernize and adapt. Encapsulating this in an icon is not easy, and I do not have the visual mind to do more than conceptualize, yet, it is important and can be done. I open it up to you for the challenge, and I give you my thanks for your time and effort (also, my money).
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Attorney & Law

To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
I have an idea of a logo that has a small baseball, small football, and a hockey puck in a triangle formation with an arrow or some line circling the objects as a ring of saturn pushing towards the right. I am looking for something without a lot visual clutter that conveys movement, strength, sports (particularly baseball and football, not so much soccer or basketball), and law (not a gavel). The logo for my practice cannot be too complicated so that it conveys more of a brand than is actually in existence but it should be still be impressive, crisp, and logical. I would also love it if there could be some small details that pay attention to the history of the law or the East Bay (steel, rail yards, the Oak tree icon of Oakland, the Bay Bridge), and some parallel reference moving towards the future. NOTE: These need to be very subtle and small details though.
