How contact1C started their logo & business card journey
Who are you known as?
Essence of Qigong
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I offer traditional lineage based Qigong meditation classes. Qigong is a moving and still energy meditation that guides Qi (chee) through ones body. Qigong cultivates ones mind and spirituality while healing the body. It's been practiced in China for thousands of years in Martial arts, for medical purposes and spiritual cultivation. In the traditional teaching method we incorporate Qigong, tai chi, feng shui, poetry, calligraphy, tea ceremony and philosophy.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Medical & Pharmaceutical
What colors do you want to see in your design?

Im looking for a very elegant logo that represents the feng shui balance in the Essence of Qigong name. More a piece of art that garners emotion vs just a simple name. The lettering should be an original artistic form of cursive that has a Asian flare to it. Ideally it should be legible but flow and have nice curves. "Possibly" in a calligraphy form, but with a modern feel to it, not an actual thicker brush stroke. (see John Marquez I love it.) The letters look like a brush with character; I also really like the tail that wraps off the M circling back to the J, it has amazing balance. The other possibility is to do a silhouette of a bonsai on the right side of the name, then wrap the trunk over the top to bring balance (see picture of Bonsai for shape, just an idea for actual bonsai and placement, as long as the placement is balanced & looks professional.) The bonsai should match the clean esthetics of the lettering, most likely a detailed silhouette. (Not like a sketch or cartoon, see images of what not to do in Arbutus sundecks and Ganin Group). Color wise I like gold/black(business cards), but possibly black/white or yellow would work too for web logo; I'm also open to other possibilities. The images attached are some logo styles I like. They all have some elements that work but none fit the context or emotion exactly. John Marquez, Dr Alex Phoon, Savor Catering, Hair Extensions are my favorites.
For the business cards I prefer to have two separate colors like gold/black and white/black or gold/white. With slightly different presentation on each side and inverse coloring( Similar to the cards below) . One side could say Meditation classes with the logo. (see John Marquez I really like) another example I like is the Michelle cards they have two separate designs. P.s Im not sure if the bonsai picture is cut off, please ask to resend if so.
