MyPlaceInTown.net is for the virtual business that works from home or on the road. They don't need an office but they do want a professional place to meet clients, colleagues and business partners. Right now they meet in coffee shops which is cheap but unprofessional. MyPlaceInTown.net is open 24 x 7 because we know that our members may need to meet in the evenings and weekends. MyPlaceInTown.net is not a serviced office because members don't work from there but use it for business meetings. MyPlaceInTown.net is not a co-working space for the same reason. Co-working spaces tend to attract start ups. It's a co-meeting space. Once members sign up we then sell additional services such as business coaching and cloud services such as www.winweb.com and www.promapp.com. The target audience is (1) the established small and micro business working from home that knows it needs a professional meeting space but doesn't want the hassle of a long term lease on an office and (2) the business that already has office space and wants to reduce its fixed costs by working virtually. We know that most small businesses are run by women so the environment we are creating is slightly tipped towards female taste. Instead of rows of work stations there are comfortable chairs, cafe settings and leather sofas as well as a board room and tables that can be used to check emails or have a working meeting.

Strange how we spend all this time and money building work spaces but nobody ever answers this question "at the office". We mean to change that. Remember this is not a traditional office, nor a serviced office, nor a co-working space. These services replace the home based office. With MyPlaceInTown.net members continue to work from home, on the road or some back office that they don't want to bring their clients to. But when they want to meet they come to MyPlaceInTown.net. We can't show you pictures of the space yet as it is being renovated. It's white walls, high ceilings and polished old oak floors furnished with brand new furniture and modern lighting that is comfortable and casual but smart and elegant. Dominant colours are yellow and green.
