James Martelletti got their new logo & business card by running a design contest:
Branding for a small IT consultancy
Check out James Martelletti's Logo & business card contest…
We are a small IT consulting firm in Melbourne, Australia. A small company of 4 guys who are combining their expertise to build a new piece of software and be awesome. Our services and software revolve around the concepts of simplicity, collaboration, automation and to help our customers get their own products out to market as quickly and reliably as possible. The company name was inspired by our collective interests in music, vibrato is the wavy effect your can do with your voice or by moving a guitar string up and down. To me, this makes you think of an audio sine wave shape, which also lends itself well to forming a V-shape. We have our current design, the V which we kinda like but feel it lacks a bit of creativity, we’re certainly not 100% attached to the idea. We like the simplicity of the current logo, but would also like to introduce some colour - and have it look good in both colour and monotone. The business cards (and most other content featuring the logo) we’d like to be on a dark background (grey to black), but it will also occasionally appear on white.
Other color requirements
green or red or blue on both light and dark grey backgrounds
Check out vibrato.com.au to see what we have so far (which is not much at all). As we said before, we quite like the current logo but certainly not overly partial to it. We do like its simplicity, but also feel it lacks a bit of creativity. Thanks!
