Ro Wild got their new logo & brand guide by running a design contest:
Wild "WTF" logo for an org to (literally) change the World

World Transition Forum
World Transition Forum (WTF) will be a series of conferences, trainings, debates, happening online & offline, around the issues of economic and ecological transitions. It aims to reach a varied public : - "classic" decision-makers such as politicians, CEO, managers, officials - an alternative public of changemakers, idealists, ecology-minded youths
An *imperative* requirement for the logo is that it is intended to be used as "big letters" props on stage, in a similar way to the TED conferences. So the letter shapes should be large enough to be cutout and stand on their own. (they can be touching each other, but make for a "cuttable" and standing shape). Also: we are well aware of the slang meaning of WTF ("What The F*ck"), and want to use it as a nod to a spirit of (some) irreverence in our logo. It is a way of acknowledging to aspiring changemakers (a large part of our public) that indeed, we recognize that there are some aspects of society and the economic system that need a good kick. One way of achieving this spirit would be to use a tag / graf style of lettering, to evoke grassroot activism (see "WTF" tag image). We also have some (strong) preconceptions about the use of color in the logo : - W ("World") should be mainly blue, to evoke the earth (as seen from space : a lot more water than land) - T ("Transition") should be in a green palette, to evoke the transition to a greener future (T is also somewhat the shape of a tree) - F ("Forum") should evoke connection, community, something warm, therefore more of an orange palette We are really open to a rendering of a logo as a "painted" tag / graf. The "W" then could be made to look like somewhat of an earth (mostly blue with some shapes of continent) The "T" as a somewhat of a tree (brownish trunk, green "leaves") etc.

Great designer with the ability to understand the scope of the design brief and apply all the feedback into a beautiful, elegant and clean logo design. I highly recommend him and will be using his services again in the future. Great work👍🏻
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
