The logo will be used alongside the logo for the University of Alaska Fairbanks (https://www.uaf.edu/universityrelations/files/downloads/logos/UAFLogo_A_647.png) so it should "play nice" with this logo. (For example, the AITC logo would be on the back of a sweatshirt and the UAF logo would be on the front, or both would be on a website or at the top of letterhead). Below is a document that describes what the Alaska Indigenous Teacher Corps is. Some things we do NOT want on the logo, because they are stereotypes: igloos, icebergs, any stereotyped depiction of an "Eskimo", feathers. Some things that would be okay to put on a logo: salmon, walrus, polar bear, raven, mountain, ocean, river, spruce or birch tree, berries (red or orange or blue), northern lights/aurora, snow, snowflake. The words Alaska and Indigenous should be larger than Teacher Corps. The acronym AITC could also be included. Thanks!
