Business & Consulting
I help security leaders build teams trusted to deliver recognized business value operative considerations: building teams (by honoring the individual and how we work together in a team) trust delivering recognized business value (basically, if others don't understand what you did or recognize it as valuable, you didn't deliver value) What I look for in my clients: a willingness to adapt and change (they need to be ready and willing to work through the discomfort of change) and the desire to build a team of leaders (lead their team to lead their teams) I'm known for 'straight talk' - honesty with empathy. It's like a mirror with a no-BS filter on it, helping people see the situation as it is. Clients count on me to help them get a more clear, more accurate, and more complete picture. I provide clarity, course of action, and confidence. I exude passion and share an infectious energy (I'm a multipler). The emphasis is on catalyst over security. Perhaps with a heavier weight (subtle is okay) or a slight color change. As a catalyst, I ease change. It's pulling and drawing people in, not pushing. I help identify and overcome friction and focus on value. We bring people together. I focus on blending people, business, and technology (in that order). A lot of my work centers on clarifying value, helping people achieve, and crafting better stories to communicate what counts. I prefer simplicity over complexity - sophisticated and elegant, with a sense of playfulness. Sharp and rigid geometric lines feel too harsh. Leaning toward blue as the dominant color, perhaps with a different shade of blue as an accent or a strong yellow.
Other color requirements
As a guide, I am drawn to the bold, but dark and muted blues and strong yellows. FOR EXAMPLE: #143D59 and #F4B41A; these are good starting points. They're not necessarily the best choices... just working to offer direction on the type of blue and the 'strong' yellow to go with it. Ultimately, I see the color palate as blue or shades of blue with grey and yellow as an accent. I've enjoyed some designs that are just variants of blue. Some include the yellow. Some work blue and grey together. I'm flexible and open to your design sense. Just wanted to offer a sense of the blue and yellow I like as _starting_ points.
I approach situations with curiosity and lead with generosity. I focus on building teams, creating trust, and delivering recognized value. Much of my work centers on overcoming friction and helping to craft better stories to communicate what counts. We recognize the individual in each team as we help them work together as a cohesive unit.

It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their logo & brand guide.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
SecurityCatalyst collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Presenting an interesting logo is important. AD Pro offered us something different, but distinct. It fit within the design brief and showed us what was possible. Once named a finalist, AD Pro focused on refining the design, showing us how we could use it in different ways and make tweaks to elevate the ultimate design. Not spamming us with new designs, but showing us what was possible and refining the ultimate design was key.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
