sramzy9a got their new logo & brand guide by running a design contest:
Looking for badass women to design a feminist brand
Check out sramzy9a's Logo & brand guide contest…
About Feminist Flames is an intersection between activism, self care and art. We make ceramic vessels with feminist messaging and richly scented candles that will help cultivate a clam space amidst all the chaos in the outside world. We’re planning on expanding this brand beyond candles as well, to include incense holders, other ceramic creations and art/merchandise. We will also be launching a digital zine that covers a variety of topics quarterly. We don’t want to be a brand that just sells a product, no matter how much we believe in it, we want to cultivate a whole experience. Ethos We are unapologetic intersectional feminists from various walks of life; we’re connected by our passion to inspire change and to create safe and magical spaces for other women to do the same. Inclusivity, diversity, empowerment, authenticity, and social justice are not just buzzwords for us, they’re integral parts of how we conduct our business, but also, our personal lives. It’s really important to me that whoever participates in this competition feels as though the messaging resonates with them and are able to create a design they love that aligns with our values. Target Audience I would love to say that this brand will break all conventions and appeal to everybody, but I don’t think that’s attainable or helpful to you creating the designs. In saying so, my ideal customer is a person (woman, or nonbinary, predominantly) who stands proudly in their feminism and activism. They’re in tune with the times, are active and revered members of their communities, and lead with kindness, compassion and strength. They purchase mainly from small businesses that they connect with to take charge of their spending power and to uplift local entrepreneurs. They are generally more conscious and attuned with themselves, and are confident individuals who are limitless in their power.

I’d like an impactful logo and brand aesthetic while not being too overwhelming to the eye. Quan was a joy to work with. I think he captured the image of the brand that I had in my mind in a way that I wanted and created something I could really see growing into my vision. It was really easy to visualize beyond the branding that he created; which is ultimately more important (to me) than just the aesthetics (which he also created beautifully). He was really quick to respond, and very accomodating to making changes/adjustments - even if it was to satisfy a curiosity. I am really glad to have worked with him and look forward to reaching out again when I, inevitably, need more work done. 5 stars, would recommend to anybody looking for quality work.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
