Hi there! DOCK is a place in the harbor were ships get repaired and fixed so that they are enabled to go on their mission/journey again. This is the big picture behind Dock1 and why we picked it for our City Church - but that does not mean that we need a ship and cross in the Logo... The number 1 stands for the first campus (we plan to start other ones if we grow to a certain level) and for a Jesus focussed setting. An additional claim can be "Einfach Kirche." which could be translated in "Just Church." or "Simply Church." - that stands for that we are not complicated and that everyone can come as they are (people loving attitude). The Claim is only needed if only a Logo Icon has to be further explained (i.e. D1 or D1K). The design should reflect the Harbor/Dock-image which is raw, straight and incomplex. It should NOT be too playful, luxurious or fragmented. But Harbors do have colors i.e. via Graffiti paintings. A cross is not essential as part of the Logo (but possible of course!). I add some design moods which I find interesting - but feel free to dive in your own creativity ;-) Please focus strongly on an unique raw and urban font for DOCK 1 Kirche in different background settings and surroundings. Less is more. ;-) We plan to promote Dock1 Kirche via our own website, Facebook/Insta, Newsletter and Print-Flyer. It would be cool if the Logo has a graphic element that we can use as an unique icon/symbol that has the quality to print i.e. on a baseball cap (could be the D1 or just a graphic symbol). Please make sure that the font for copy texts can be adopted for our website (web font). We are looking forward to your proposals and promise to give feedback as fast as possible.
