gestioC got their new logo & brand guide by running a design contest:
Logo and brand guidelines for a software company in the optics and vision domain.
Check out gestioC's Logo & brand guide contest…
What we do at optoPartner ==================== Is software. More precisely: - Software to drive and monitor complex instruments, especially in the domain of Optics and Photonics. - Software to model and simulate physical phenomena, especially in the domain of Optics and Photonics. - Software in the domain of Machine Vision. We are both a service provider and an editor. Our customers =========== Are high-tech companies, ranging from startups to large groups.
Why I'm here ========== To get the visual counterpart of the work I'm currently doing to propel my company to the next stage of its development. Our new motto: "brilliant so[ft]lutions" (C)(R)(TM). What I want ========= A logo that: --------------- 1. Is memorable. -> Just having a look at the logo, our customers and future customers should instantly think to us. -> Remembering our logo is also a way to celebrate your hard work. 2. Will be there for eternity. -> The need is to be efficient, not fashionable. -> But it's not forbidden to make it appealing. -> Eternity means my lifetime. 3. Is recognizable at all scales. -> It will be as small as an icon. 4. Renders nicely at all scales. 5. Should support monochrome variations. 6. May contain our acronym "oP", or not. Brand identity guidelines that: --------------------------------------- 1. Make all fit well. -> all = logo + company name + motto. 1. Are complete. -> I appreciate summaries but it is not what I'm paying for. 2. Are explicit. -> What is supposed to be obvious/implicit leads to time waste since it needs to be painfully defined later . 3. Are efficient for the next steps. -> Web site, LinkedIn, mail signature, slides, business cards... Note ==== 99designs' interface asked me to pick logos and colors in order to give you hints: I chose none because I'm neither a graphic designer nor an art director. This resulted in a kind of neutral style to define my needs in 99designs' interface. So, don't focus on it: my REAL criteria are those I gave above.
