We need a new logo and brand guide for our innovative Icelandic food start up

Our business name is Sauðagull. In English this translates to "Sheepgold". The Icelandic word Sauðagull was used until about 1900 for money that Icelandic sheep farmers received for trading their sheep meat with British tradesmen. Icelanders used to milk sheep for private use until about 1900 but with cow milk being more easily available, this tradition got completely lost. When we started in 2019 we were the only ones and first ones in Iceland to milk sheep for commercial purpose. We milk our sheep at our farm in East Iceland and then we produce cheese, chocolates and ice cream from it. We are a micro start up and pioneers in Iceland in using sheep milk and making innovative food products from it. Everything is handmade and we strive to use local ingredients and tastes in our products. All our products are "small batch"-products. One of our aims is to show that Icelandic sheep milk can create more value for the sheep farming community in Iceland because Icelandic sheep farming is based on meat and wool and it is struggling economically. We sell our products at markets, to restaurants and in Christmas time we also sell in some shops in Reykjavík. Our target group are people who are interested in delicacies/gourmet food and looking for special foods for certain occasions like Christmas, inviting friends over for a fancy dinner or else. Another big target group are international tourists who are foodies and interested in Icelandic food souvenirs and cuisine. Our business is located close to one of East Iceland's biggest natural sights and that is our main selling area over summer months.

We are a very small business and we produce very small amounts of our products. So we make small batches. We are likely going to have to use stickers for our product packaging instead of having ready printed packaging since our production is VERY small but unique in Iceland. Please consider this in a logo and brand guide. Our goal from this project is to have a logo and brandguide and from there develop designs for our different products and packaging, a website and some marketing material (flyers, roll up, etc). I attach some files that show our area, our current logo and products. We want something cohesive and current. you do not have to stick with any of the designs or logo! When you design the logo you can go for different directions: 1) make a logo that includes a sheep that connects to Icelandic sheep (They look different than european sheep- you should google them); 2) make a logo just based on a font or 3) come up with your own idea of a logo. In the brand guide we appreciate some connection to our geographical area and nature of East Iceland and Fljótsdalur Valley.
