Business & Consulting
Electric Arc is a startup procurement and supply chain consultancy, which is in need of a brand identity. The name ‘Electric Arc’ is inspired by the creation of the light bulb, the 'electric arc' signifies the spark of ideas and also represents transparency and connections, bringing light to a problem. Procurement and supply chain management is: Looking at the costs of an organisation and driving best value for every pound spent, through negotiating with existing suppliers or taking a requirement to market. This could include looking at a companies spend on IT, cleaning, stationery, security, energy, catering, insurance, advertising & marketing, etc and getting ‘better deals’ The actual process of making purchases is also important, making sure that the adequate controls are in place whilst also ensuring efficiency Supply chain management is ensuring physical supplies are available to the business at the lowest price whilst ensuring performance is maximised Target Audience: I will be pitching to companies that are large enough to have a decent level of spend, i.e. turnover of above £10m (i.e Beavertown), but not so large that they already have a procurement department (i.e Tesco) Will be pitching to a variety of sectors Clients would likely be CFO or COOs
Design Vision There’s no escaping it, procurement is essentially pretty dull. However I want to try to inject a bit of freshness to make it stand out from the more stuffy consultancies, Think what Monzo is to the banking industry - bright, young, vibrant. I don't want the logo to look too corporate, but it also needs to be serious enough to look like a solid and dependable solution for senior management to engage with me. Would like to try to feature the shape of a lightbulb somewhere. Some examples of branding I’m keen on: https://monzo.com/ https://www.revolut.com/ https://www.tide.co/
