The Mediterranean Room is the signature restaurant located inside the historic La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, CA. The restaurant is currently called “The Med” but will undergo a refresh with new furniture, flooring and details, as well as an entirely new menu and will relaunch as the Mediterranean Room (This was the original name back in 2012). The new menu will be inspired by the California Coast and locally-driven, seasonal ingredients. The restaurant is composed of an ocean view dining room with grand windows, an outdoor Patio lined with palm trees and flowers at the front of the hotel and an outdoor, ocean view patio. The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and an elevated dinner service in addition to weekend brunch. The restaurant is visited by hotel guests, locals and tourists visiting the area. The dining room does have Mediterranean style tiles and these were part of the original logo. We’re looking for a logo and an “icon” that can be in the logo and also used on its own (tile, wave, etc.). We really want to see creative, out of the box ideas to representative our revived restaurant in our luxury hotel! I've attached the mood board for our restaurant design.
